This is a great post and hope these companies get a chance to read it so that they can change their ways. Its good to see Plaxo has limited their emails; they used to be the most spammy service I have ever used. I would love to see a similiar post covering services that are used by spammers. For example, i get tons of spammy advertisements through Bebo, MySpace and Skype.

Glad I could provide that info. When I get back from San Diego and break it all down I think that will help as well, then we can gauge the frequency of certain type of email generated by these sites.

This is awesome research. As I write the notification/email system for RoyalAnts, this info will help determine what is the right amount, and the right type of emails to send to people, because I’ve been struggling with what to do.
