I see no problem with adding your own content to social bookmarking sites. It makes it easier for you to organize what you publish, and, as someone else mentioned, if other people like what you’re writing they may want to save it in their own bookmark collections.

I use bookmarks to keep track of great information I come across and specific things I might want to reference later. Using Google the search for that doesn’t always mean I will find the article I was thinking of and takes longer. I like having a repository for stuff I deem useful information.

I don’t need any bookmarks really, I think the concept of bookmarks are kind of a dated metaphor for the early days of web browsing. Sort of a holdover from Gopher where you just had lists of websites. I rely more on Google if I need to look up something. reddit.com (especially the programming subreddit) does all the work of bookmarking interesting sites for me, all I need to do is search or browse their site.

I say go for it!

There is nothing wrong with being a fan of your own work. On your blog you say things that you wanted to be said, so you should be proud to bookmark it.

Besides, If someone is interested in the things that you bookmarked, they should have an endless supply of links to your site!
